Metro to Karolinska Hospital with extension to Solna

The social and economic advantages of a development of the metro from Odenplan to Karolinska/North Station district is substantial, states report presented to the board of Stockholm Transportation (SL) on 24th april 2007. The great challenge is financing any alternative presented, states CEO Ingemar Ziegler.

The City Tunnel

The aim of the City Tunnel Stockholm is to eliminate problems due to heavy train traffic through Stockholm city. Deadline for preparation of the tunnel is 2013. The government has allocated 8100MSEK to the procject. However estimated cost is 1200MSEK to 1400MSEK.

All parties involved agree that it is of great importance for the national railroad system to eliminate train traffic jams through Stockholm.
