North Station

Development of a strong business- and research district

A key focus is the establishment of a life science cluster in the new city section, North Station, close to the tree universities and Karolinska University Hospital. As one of Europe’s most research-dense locations, the area is of particular strategic interest.

The new city section will connect the universities to the rest of the city, integrating science and technology with everyday city functions and residential areas. The area has the potential to become a global address in bioscience offering one of the most attractive locations in Europe for the life science sector.
