Launch of "Tools of Science" platform
2006-10-25
On October 24th, Stockholm Science City invited scientists from the industry, Karolinska Institute (KI), The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Stockholm University to attend the Tools of Science event in Wenner-Gren center.

Three of Stockholm’s most brilliant researchers presented their view on multidisciplinary research and the need of collaborations across disciplines: Mathias Uhlén from KTH, Jan-Erling Bäckvall from Stockholm University, and Hans Forssberg from KI. Stockholm Science City presented the plans on development in the Norra Station area in Stockholm, as well as the new web-based platform “Tools of Science” where information about equipment, core facilities and specific techniques in Stockholm is found. After the presentations, wine was served and the 130 attending scientists could interact with each other and visit the eight posters from selected Tools of Science. The Tools of Science platform could be test driven and the initiative was given many positive comments and interesting suggestions.
Tools of Science is a project run by the organisation Stockholm Science City.
